Born in Jesenice near Lake Bled, Luka Podlogar grew up surrounded by Slovenia’s mountain landscapes and was introduced to the Julian Alps from an early age. His lifelong connection to the outdoors has been shaped through years of rock climbing, freeride snowboarding, trekking, and canyoning, giving him a deep and practical understanding of alpine environments.
Luka is an internationally certified snowboard instructor and an experienced mountain and adventure guide, known for his calm, confident leadership and strong focus on safety and guest experience. His background includes competing as a member of the Slovenian National Freestyle Snowboard Team, achieving a second-place finish in the Big Air discipline at the European Cup, and appearing in multiple seasons of the Untouched film project. He also played a key role in developing Slovenia’s freestyle snowboarding scene as the head organizer of the Slovenian National Freestyle Snowboarding Cup for four years.
In addition to his competitive career, Luka holds a wide range of professional qualifications, including ISF Pro-level Snowboard Coach, White Water Rescue certification, Canyoning Guide Level II, National Mountain / Alpinist Guide (ZGVS), and is currently a UIMLA International Mountain Leader Guide. His international exposure and broad technical expertise allow him to confidently lead both challenging alpine routes and relaxed multi-adventure journeys tailored to each guest.
