With formal training in healthcare, Mitja brings a strong focus on safety, well-being, and responsible guiding to every adventure. A skier and kayaker at heart, he grew up in the mountains of Slovenia, where he learned from a very young age how to experience his home environment to the fullest. Freeride skiing, climbing, and kayaking in Triglav National Park shaped both his skills and his deep respect for nature.
Mitja began his career in tourism nine years ago as a certified international rafting guide and kayak instructor. Summers guiding on the emerald waters of the Soča and Sava rivers, combined with winters working as a ski instructor, have given him a wide range of technical expertise and invaluable experience. Over the past two years, he has also worked as a licensed tour guide in Slovenia, dedicated to introducing guests to the beauty and authenticity of the country through the eyes of a local. Passionate, approachable, and highly capable, Mitja is committed to creating truly unforgettable outdoor experiences.
